History

Trinity III exists because of the hard work, dedication and vision of a very special couple, Haywood and Gwendolyn Fox. Their mission started years ago in their native Pennsylvania, when they opened three homes for adults with mental health and behavioral issues. Soon after, Mrs. Fox felt the same need existed in North Carolina.

In North Carolina, Mrs. Fox quickly realized the need for a more family-oriented approach to treating those with mental health and behavioral wellness issues. She wanted to reach female youth who were experiencing behavioral and/or mental health issues, and show these troubled girls how love, mercy and forgiveness could change their lives. Thus, the residential program for female youth was created. As word spread of the program being offered, doors began to open and referrals poured in. In addition, various organizations such as Department of Social Services, Department of Juvenile Justice, Mental Health providers, etc. began seeking services from Trinity III, Inc.

Eventually, the need for male youth with behavioral and/or mental health issues was also identified. Again, Mrs. Fox opened her doors and catered to their needs, in a loving, caring, structured and supervised environment.

Trinity III, Inc. now has three North Carolina facilities, with a 12-bed capacity. The children participate in sports and the arts, develop important life skills, and learn the importance of respect, and the Golden Rule. The caring and dedicated staff includes Mr. and Mrs. Fox who have come to trust that "all things work out for the good of those that love the Lord.”

"A LOVING, CARING, STRUCTURED AND SUPERVISED ENVIRONMENT."
